Could my sleepiness be a medical problem?!

Question:

Could my sleepiness be a medical problem?

I am only 21 but I am tired all the time. I only work 28 and a half hours a week and the job is simple and easy. But when I get home all I want to do is sleep. I don't even feel like going out with my friends.
I know I am not getting too much sleep, though. Because as tired as I am I can't fall asleep and will stay up till 3-4 in the morning.
I go through this period of insomnia at least every two months and it can last from a week to a month.
Could this be a medical problem? Should I worry and see a doctor? Or could it just be me?
Any help appreciated, Thanks!

Answers:

Anemia is one idea that this could be. Make an appointment for a check up and say how tired you are and how hard of a time you have some nights sleeping.. it will ease your mind to have someone listen to you - and give you a check up just the same.
It could even be Mono - which could be from lack of rest and you are worn down. Call today - ease your fears and get some rest - before bed take a hot relaxing shower or use some unwind aroma therapy things - read until you are tired and get up if you can't sleep.
