Sore's on nostrils-help?!

Sore's on nostrils-help?

My 2 1/2 year old started with what looked like a mosquito bite on his cheek then he scratched at it and a made it sore. Well then his nostrils started to look red and irritated then overnight they got crusty and sore. Now they look horrible with yellow crust on them (pus). I am calling the doctor this morning but I wanted to see if anyone has seen this before???

He probably has a staph infection or impetigo as it is commonly called. Good thing you're taking him to the doctor. He will fix it right up with some antibiotics.
