Chronic lower abdominal pain?!

Question:

Chronic lower abdominal pain?

I'm looking for some answers.. to get some idea of what I have and what I can do to relieve this pain.

I've had this pain in my lower stomach for as long as I can remember. I'm 21 years old. The kind of pain changes and varies but the most common symptoms are occuring in the night. They wake me up from a dead sleep and the pain is so bad I'll be covered in sweat. I feel bloated, gassy, and crampy, and usually wind up having diahrea that makes it feel somewhat better. This happens at LEAST 3 or 4 times a week.

Then, sometimes the pain is all day long. I thought it might be caused by ulcers. I try drinking baking soda water and the pain will subside to where it is somewhat livable.

I also am VERY prone to nausea. I'll get nauseous for no reason at all at least one time a day.

I don't know if all these symptoms are somehow linked together.. just looking for maybe some answers or insight. Thanks (:

Answers:

Could be a hiatel hernia or acid reflux disease. I have a hernia which is an extra sack of my esophagus and has stomach acid in it. Before I got put on meds. I had pain in my stomach and severe nausea. After being diagnosed with the hernia it didn't stop and I found out instead of the acid reflux coming out of my mouth like normal it came up my esophagus and went back down causing horrible abdominal pain, sometimes to where I hit the floor in pain. I would check into this as an option. Also, you should probably see a doctor as soon as you can.
