Leg wax? Painful or not?

Im getting my legs and under arms waxed for the first time in a couple of days and Im a little nervous. Obviously there is pain involved, but is it extremely painful or bareable, as I have heard mixed views about it?

i'll be honest, yes it can hurt!
the best things to do are:
1, not have it dont the week before your period because that is when you are most susceptible to pain.
2, take a couple of painkillers about 20 minutes before you have it done.
3, alcohol might numb the pain when its being done but it'll hurt like hell after, so not worth it.
4, take a stress ball or something with you. one method of pain management is distraction. trust me, i studied it for years, it really works. distract yourself with a stress ball to squeeze, or play some loud music, etc. at the most extreme, try to experience pain elsewhere by biting your tongue or suchlike.
5, it'll hurt less each time you do it as your hairs grow back finer...so dont shave in between. once you start waxing, stick with it.
