I considering a one-day fast.Any advice or opinions?

It is very good to clean your system.
It would be better to start your day with a glass of lemon
juice with water and pure bee honey.
Lemon helps you clean the system, honey gives you
anti-oxidants and keeps your hunger down, water keeps
you hydrated.
In the afternoon, have some watery fruits like watermelon,
orange etc. You may also have some light salad like
cucumber, tomato etc. This helps you keep your energy
stable, so you wont feel weakness a day after.
You may repeat the lemon+honey+water during the
afternoon if you like.
In the evening, if you like again have some fruits.
This way you wont loose energy and the system gets
clean also.
During the day, drink ample amount of water, preferably
warm chinese/green tea or warm water to help clean
your system and flush out and keep hydrated also.
