Question:

Effects and syntoms of getting high on cocaine?

Answers:

As my friend so avidly described it, "You pay $50-80 for a gram, snort it, and get pissed. off." He is now off the drugs.

If you plan to do cocaine, don't. I mean, this suggestion probably won't stop you, but...think about it long and hard.

Short term effects of snorting (most common way) cocaine: For the first few times you try it, nothing besides dilated pupils and excessive sweating. After that, pupils dilate, excessive sweating, heart rate increases, inhibitions are ignored (you'd talk to people you'd never talk to before, etc), you feel more talkative, a "king of the world" feeling. Cotton mouth, runny nose, numbness in the neck (sometimes to the point of being uncomfortable. You may vomit if your neck is numb enough to affect your gag reflex). Extremely euphoric. It's a stimulant, so you won't be able to sleep and will have decreased appetite.

Then comes the "drip" -- the cocaine will move with your mucous down the back of your neck. This is what makes your neck numb, and it tastes extremely sour and unpleasant.

This lasts for anywhere from 15-30 minutes. After that, you start crashing. Your heart rate speeds up even more. You get nervous, paranoid, agitated, and sometimes things don't seem right. You just don't feel right.

A couple hours later, your nose completely dries out. Sometimes, it's painful -- if the powder wasn't cut fine enough, you will still have chunks of cocaine in your nose that you may even be able to feel.

Long term effects: Addiction. Big time. Sometimes, cocaine will be the only thing on your mind, and you'd do anything to obtain it. Nosebleeds will occur, especially when you try to clean out your nose. The cartilege in between your nostrils will break down, as will your mucous membranes. Loss of smell, loss of taste.

Using cocaine isn't even half the problem. It's dealing with all the crap that comes along with it. This list includes, but is not limited to: getting money stolen, guns, weapons, and if you get caught, jail.
