Why does this happen?!
Question:
Why does this happen?
Ok I'm 13 and sometimes when I wake up in the morning, and get out of bed and walk around, my vision gets kinda black and it hurts my head. It's not like a blind black, but like when you don't fully close your eyes and you barely see things. Is this normal and ok?
Answers:
That's called orthostatic hypotension it happens when you get up to fast or arise from remaining seated are laying down for a long period of time. Your blood pressure drops when you lay or sit down and sometimes the body takes a little longer to get the blood pumping back to normal when you assume a standing position.
Sometimes, orthostatic hypotension can be caused by something more serious like diabetes, anemia, and Addison's disease, but most of the time it's harmless except there is a chance you may faint.
