Has anyone heard of the terms Dog Days in the summer?
Dog Days is supposedly the worst days in the summer to go swimming etc. And I have heard that it makes sores take longer to heal. Wich i am experienceing. i am from the South so this term may be used more in the south. Why does this happen and how can I help the sores heal quickly?

I live in Indiana and my mother has always referred to the dog days of summer being the month of July.......it is said that because the weather is so hot and humid during this time it is hard to heal from any injuries or surgeries you have during this time.....my friend had all her teeth extracted 2 weeks ago....she wanted it done in July but they told her they wouldn't do it then........I dint know....I guess its just the healing problem
