Toxic B6 level?!

Question:

Toxic B6 level?

I've recently had my B6 level tested (pyridoxal phosphate is the actual name I believe). The normal level range in blood is between 20 and 95. My first test I was at 153 and my second test I was at 283. I'm seeing an internalist in a week or so but wondering if anyone has any idea if this is a problem or has had similar results...help!!!

Answers:

Here is a site that explains a little about B6. Do you have numbness or tingling in your hands and feet? That is what too much B6 can do. http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/id/art02763...

Here is a site on vitamins that basically says the same thing: http://www.mid-day.com/smd/eat/2003/may/...

Here is another site: http://www.jhhs.org/myjewishhospital/enc... It seems if you may have a problem with your immune system and your body is trying to fix it. That may be why your levels are so high.
