Mirtazapine - feels like i cant wake up?

For the last three months I have been taking 45mg a day of Mirtazapine/Avanza to treat atypical depression. The Mirtazapine makes me so dazed during the day, its the most bizzare feeling, its like i cant quite wake up and I feel like the living dead it also makes me feel emotionally blank. The other night i forgot to take the Mirtazapine and the next day i felt great, i had so much energy and i could concerntrate and think straight. From reading others answers these seem like pretty typical side effects. What I am wondering is, should i stick it out and see if it gets better even though its already been 3 months or should i stop taking them. Has anybody else had a similar experience and stuck it out, did it get any better?

This medication is newer and sounds like a anti-psychotic, which in lower doses is used to treat depression. These reactions sound normal and this is the very reason why I don't agree with medications. They are supposed to make you feel that way, I have tried almost all the medications that they have and they all seem to do the same thing make you too tired to think about problems and/or do anything about it, like hurt yourself. If it was just a side effect it would not have lasted this long, so I will ask you are you happy with what it is doing for you? I always suggest people should do what makes them feel the best/happiest.
