Co-Codamol 8/500 tablets SIDE EFFECT ?

Hi i am 26 yr old female, i suffer with headaches, so my doctor prescribed me Co-codamol 8/500 tablets, 2 to be taken when needed.. i started 3 days ago just 2 in the morning, then 2 the following day since then just under my chest hurts like i got severe indigestion, yesterday i never took any and i felt somewhat a little better towards the end of the day.. then this morning i took another 2 but within an hr my upper abdomin (under chest) started burning hurting again like someone has kicked me hard..

I have been the pharmacist and she just said not to take any more and to take gavison which i have been doing as bisodol wasnt working... BUt i dont find it helping..

it ease off when i eat something but then comes back as quick as it went.. i have been to he toilet all fine ..

please help...
I fear something terrible is wrong..

I detest co-codamol and have been running a campaign against its use for 13 years. It is addictive and constipating, it can also produce headache and abdominal pain and since it is only 5% more potent than paracetamol I have always considered it a waste of space of a drug.

You seem to be describing gastritis, if the symptoms are persisting contact NHS Direct.
