Why must doctors speak so loudly in the office.?!

Question:

Why must doctors speak so loudly in the office.?

I have over heard my doctor report personal findings about many people because she talks loud. Since, I have found another doctor and he talks loud too.
Does anyone else find this annoying and embarrasing?

or they will be in the next room with someone and I can hear them.

Answers:

IMHO, it's a manners and education thing. We shouldn't immediately assume that, because a person has an M.D. title, this person is automatically well-mannered and educated.

There's no pretext for bad manners and rudeness. The best doctors I've ever seen, NEVER have been the "loud" ones, as you comment. Only the not-so-good doctors have been the rude and ill-mannered ones, whose talk with other patients you can hear.

All good doctors I've seen, don't even let the patients stay close to their office when they are in consultation with another patient, so it is virtually impossible for you to hear anything they say to the current patient, no matter if they scream their guts out.

In other words, normally the best doctors --also the well-mannered ones-- have a waiting room totally isolated from the consultation room.

Of course, this is just an opinion based on my own personal experience with doctors.
