What are those white patches called that you get with strep throat?!

Question:

What are those white patches called that you get with strep throat?

ya know the ones that appear in the back of your throat. what are they called? and what exactly are they?

Answers:

The white spots are "Pus Patches", and they are exactly what they sound like which is kinda gross if you think about. Occassionally you'll have spots of just post-nasal drip, meaning that your sinuses and stuff are draining down your throat making it sore, and red, but they don't usually look the same as a pus patch.
