I have to x-ray so many 'interesting' cases in resus I'd be hear all day. One that will always sticks in my mind was the guy that had a vibrator stuck up his ar*e. Now believe it or not, this is not as rare as you'd think on a Saturday night, but this bloke had to go to theatre to have it removed. When I got up there as the radiographer, the surgeon, anaesthetist, well everyone was stood around waiting because the thing had gone off vibrating and the forceps were then no use. So everyone had to just wait for it to finish vibrating (don't forget this guy was anaesthetised). Anyway I broke the ice after about 15 minutes of boredom by saying "I hope them bloody batteries are not Duracell". True story !!!
