How are some People Nearsighted and Others Farsighted?!

Question:

How are some People Nearsighted and Others Farsighted?

As people lose their vision, what causes some to become nearsighted and others farsighted? I can't understand how a person can see an object more clearly that is far away than one that is up close to their face. How does your vision deteriorate like that?

Answers:

well this depends on genetics. people with family history of nearsightnedness will be that. or if u dont have family history, you can strain your eyes by watching too much tv or read too many books, etc and your eyes will eventually elongate to becoming an oval shape from a round eyeball. a nice round eyeball means people can see far and near w/ no problems...as people grow older, a person that never needed glasses would probably need to wear reading glasses to see up close..they can see far, but not near..somehow (I don't remember why this happens) their eyeballs become more flattened from a nice round eyeball. this explanations is basically the mechanism of why we're able see far and near..u should read more of why humans have vision...that;s another thing to look into.
