Hearing problem?!

Question:

Hearing problem?

I have major hearing problems.

I used to hear perfectly well until age 20. I am now 25 years old.

I gradually lost my hearing, but I hear sounds perfectly well. At least I passed the test that they gave me recently, a test to see if I was hearing sounds. I hear the beep sounds that they gave me just find...

My problem is: I can't hear when somone is talking, although I can hear their voices...

I would be standing next to a group of people and hear their conversation but can't read what they're saying at all... All I would hear is their voice and no words.

What can be done about this?

Hearing aid is not an option, since hearing aids increase the sound volume, which is not my issue.

Answers:

Have you tried getting your ears cleaned out? A doctor can do this or you can do it at home with some hydrogen peroxide. Lie down on your side and squirt it in your ear until it feels full. Stay there at least 10 minutes. Empty ear onto towel or in sink. Rinse ear with warm water. Repeat until you can hear. If this does not help, try garlic and olive oil. No, this is not a salad dressing. Cut up a clove of garlic and place in a small bottle. Fill bottle with olive oil. Let stand for a few days. Lie down on side and fill ear with garlic oil and wait 10 minutes. Rinse ear with warm water. Repeat if necessary.
