Cause for high Calcium?

I just got the results back from my blood test. The doctor was concerned about my elevated Calcium (more so than my elevated Cholesterol ). He ordered me to get additional tests done. He also said it could be linked to Kidney function. We discussed it very briefly and will discuss it further when I get the results of the new tests. I am still wondering what could cause elevated Calcium?

Obviously, I would be interested in hearing from Medical Professionals only.

I am not a "medical professional" however I was a Vet Tech for 18 years. In dogs, high calcium frequently means cancer somewhere. I would check that out. Good luck to you!! Animals are not that different from humans.
