Tongue Piercing Can't Taste?!?!?!?!?!


Question:

Tongue Piercing Can't Taste?!?!?!?!?

I had my tongue pierced on Monday, and ever sense I really can't taste as well, my friend had it done and she said it's normal and it comes back once your piercing heals...I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem? Please help!

see i can taste just not as well...and my friend said that happened to her and once it healed she could taste better...

The tongue is one muscle in your mouth, there aren't any nerves in there to be damaged, otherwise you wouldn't be able to get it pierced.

What you are experiencing happened to me too-my sense of taste came back within three-five days of having the piercing done. the swelling that came up following the piercing being done affected my sense of taste oddly enough. Once it went down though, I was fine.

If there is any pain, extra swelling or even more discomfort though then you should get it looked at as it could have got food in there causing an infection to set in.
Apart from that though, it should calm down once the wound has healed.
