my boyfriend sleeps for hours way more the eight he sleeps all day and most of the night like he just can't get enough sleep and when he does wake up he's really angry and grumpy all the time he wasn't always like this it just started a couple of months ago what could be happening?

is he on drugs? have him see a doctor for blood test like thyroid hormone level and etc
