What's in between the internal organs of your body?!
Question:
What's in between the internal organs of your body?
Is there a certain fluid between the internal organs, or are they held in place by tendons? Are the organs all just packed together so tightly that there isn't anything inbetween them?
Answers:
The organs are all packed in pretty tightly, so there's very little of anything in between them. Your abdominal organs are held in by a membrane called the mesentery, and you have other organs that are held in place by bones, like your brain and heart and lungs. And yes, there are muscles that help you move that also have the dual-purpose of holding your insides in, like your abdominal muscles.
