Stethescope, meter and cuff?? MUST BE QUIET if your not used to doing this Place cuff on upper arm to fit not tight but snug, place scope over inside of elbow where you should feel a pulse, meter should have a place to anchor on the cuff, put scope ear pieces in your ears, tighten cuff vave(top of pump) by turning to right, pump to 200 then release valve slowly to the left it should "hiss" and listening for a "thump" the first strong thump is the top number the second strong thump is the bottom number after the second thump release the cuff pressure by opening the valve all the way to the left DO NOT REPEAT more than 3x in a thirty minute interval It takes practice to learn how to do it and listen for the "thumps" If you do not here 2 thumps you may try again and increase the pressure to 250 it is very important to not over pump the cuff and have the cuff inflated for a extended period of time
