Please help! is this overdosing or what????

last night i took some pain med, ultram, and tussin,{for cough} i wasnt feeling good. i started getting swollen, my face, neck and tongue and i broke out in hives on my lower face and upper neck. my heart was beating fast and hard and i was dizzy. i tried forcing myself to throw it all up but i couldnt throw up. i couldnt walk straight, really breathe or talk right. like i said i wasnt feeling good and i didnt take alot of the meds. i was scared to go to sleep cuz i thought i wouldnt wake up. and i began to pray to GOD. no one was home and i told my grandparents 2day when they got home {i live w/ them} {im 17, female, 115 pounds 5'2} they are keeping an eye on me to c if they need to take me in to the hospital. i feel better now. my head hurts alot but like i said i feel ok now.

i did take Benadryl

sounds to me like you had an allergic reaction to these meds. Some ppl have anaphalaxis, which means they can get a range of sympons from feeling itchy on their skin, to being unable to breathe. Doctors do tests to isolate the source of the allergen and can tell you what to avoid! You may need anti-histamines if your not too severe or a shot of adrenalin.(which you can keep with you at all times)

Different people have different allergies and reactions so it is best you go to your doctor and let him/her know your symptoms, and what you took exactly.

Also this sounds like your first reaction you have ever had, and its possible the ingredient you are allergic to could be contained in other products that you are unaware of. this is potentially a life threatening condition if untreated.
