Diarrhea for over a week and dehydrated?!

Question:

Diarrhea for over a week and dehydrated?

I went to a music festival about two weeks ago which I think is responsible for all this. While I was there I tried to keep as hydrated as possible, drinking more than a gallon of water a day and taking heat exaustion precautions. I came home with feet swollen so bad that I couldnt put my shoes on for two days, blisters all over my feet and have had diarrhea since I came home.

I've been having it for almost a week but yesterday and today it has gotten worse and worse. There is no consitancy to my diarrhea, it is coming out just like water. I am drinking water and juice and eating fruits and veggies. I am having diarrhea like this at least every half an hour and I don't know what to do, especially since its hurt very badly whenever I go.

I have also gotten 3 charlie horses since I've been home which are not common for me.

I think I'm just dehydrated but is it possible that it's something else? And what should I do???

Answers:

Diarrhea is very common to have, especially over a period of days. Look for these things.

1. Eat breads and other carbs. They help make solid "poop."
2. Stress is a big factor for diarrhea. Are you stressed? Try to calm down. Are you worried alot? Does the pressure get to you?
3. Sleep. Have you been getting enough sleep? Sometimes a lack of sleep can aid in diarrhea.
4. You can go to the Doctors, but they will give you pills that you can get much more cheaply over the counter.
5. All else fails...pray.
