Im transgender and im on HRT. If i go on and off my hormones, will my body build!

Question:

Im transgender and im on HRT. If i go on and off my hormones, will my body build up a resistance? please help!

I am 23 and Male to female, pre-operation, and i was just wondering about this since ive noticed that my hormones have pretty much stopped all progress and im not even an A cup yet while my family has a history of decent sized busts. not to mention ive been on hormones for about two years. Right now im taking spiro 150 mg a day and estrace 4 mg a day. thank you for helping me out with this one!

Answers:

I presume you mean you're transsexual....

The bad news is, if you're expecting a large bust, you'll be disappointed. Most transsexual women, unless they start taking hormones before puberty is ended, seldom achive more than a B cup.
The myth that you can expect breast development similar to the other women on your family is just that; a myth.
'Going on and off' hormones will only slow any development you will achieve; and incidentally (in case you're tempted) overdosing will have a negative effect; any oestrogen that your receptors can't handle passes into the liver and is converted to DHT analogues....and the last thing you want is more testosterone. It might help if you can get your doctor to prescribe a GnRH inhibitor; that will at least allow your eostrogen to work unopposed.
