Does anyone know WHY the US has a higher mortality rate...?!

Question:

Does anyone know WHY the US has a higher mortality rate...?

Than other industrialized countries..agains INDUSTRIALIZED countires. I know I asked this question before, but I screwed it up so here it is again. I did find a useful link since asking the questions....It's WORLD-WIDE stats, not just Industrialized, so I didn't see US on it...but at the bottom they talk about how US does more c-sections than a lot of other countries and the fact that other countries may calculate statistics differently, for example not counting infants that are too premature. If I deleted your answer by removing the ? feel free to answer again! thanks :)

Yes..this question is in regards to INFANT mortality, thanks!

Answers:

Your original question referred to infant mortality. If that is still the basis of your question, you are close to correct. With the exception of Russia, the United States does have the highest infant mortality rate in the G8. When it comes to general mortality there a few countries in the G8 with higher rates.

I would attribute the infant mortality problem to the high cost of health care and lack of prenatal care.
