My doctors cannot help me?

I have had recent back surgery, 2 herniated discs. I suffered for 11 yrs with it. I couldn't take narcotic pain pills while raising my kids. My kids are in school now, and I am still in pain, my doctor doesnt like prescribing anything stronger than motrin now. I have been to the pain clinic, and they give me injections (epidural steroids) which makes it worse before it gets better. I cant sleep at night, and can barely roll over from the pain. Any advice? I am exhausted.

get a second , third --- any amount of opinions ( don't settle for one doctor no matter how good or how faithful you might feel allegiance too ) .
i have a lady friend of mine who was diagnosed with a brain tumour and was told to get her house in order ( because her days were numbered ) she went to another specialist --- after successful operations --- two years ago she's still with us !!!
