I had my ears pierced early last year...they have never really settled down and still hurt or just get sore?

now and then i get an slight infection in one. A couple of weeks ago one ear was hurting more than usual so I removed the earring while i treated the ear....now i want to put it back in and it seems the hole is blocked. it goes in a little way then im left searching for the hole....does this mean its closed and i need to repierce it? part of the hole is still there at least...should i just bite the bullet and force the earring through(ouch). Should i just wear one earring for the rest of my life(im good with that ...lol)

It sounds as if you are having an allergic reaction to your earrings. Try hypo-allergenic ones and see what happens. You can reopen a closed hole by shoving an earring thru it...yes, it is uncomfortable, but the pain will subside quickly...that is, if you have an earring that your body isn't going to reject.
