Extreme perspiraton: Stress or Disease?!

Question:

Extreme perspiraton: Stress or Disease?

My mother is constantly batting chronic migraines and the after-effects of numerous surgeries. She takes in a lot of what I think is unecessary stress (from bills and other various factors).

Whether she's washing the dishes or vacuuming, she's always sweating. It wasn't always this way for her, and I think it happened a bit after marrying my dad. Even applying makeup takes a toll on her.

I'm very worried about her- doctors can't diagnose it or anything, and accupuncturists and herbalists say her body is just weak.

This lady can haul a big screen TV and ten large grocery bags up a flight of stairs, so I doubt she's weak.

I'm very worried- anyone else have this problem or know someone with this irregularity?

Answers:

Menopause causes sweating. She could be experiencing early menopause. Has she been tested.

A woman I worked with has a disorder with her sweat glands and her doctor felt it was an hormonal imbalance.

Hyperhidrosis is a socially embarrassing disorder that causes people to sweat excessively too, especially from the arms, feet and hands, even in normal conditions. The use of botulism toxin, or Botox, to paralyze the sweat gland is the most recent effective treatment, lasting up to six months, after which new nerve endings grow and the treatment must be repeated.

Good luck with your mom... Hope all will be well and keep searching.
