Hi i am an assessor, what section are you stuck on?? Diversity is some thing that we all have, it could be that you turn your pillow over each night before you go to sleep, this doesn't affect anyone else but can upset you if you don't do it. We all have little routines that we do, these are called diversities. What group do you work with? is it L.D/ P.D/ M.H or Elderly, let me know and i will send you an example.
Update: Do you take your guy's out into the community, if so you can use the following:
You have three staff on shift, client A has been told that they can go out to a venue of their choice, they choose to go to a night club/ pub. The usual venue is full of footie fans, and may cause distress to client A, by offering another venue you are, 1. promoting equality and diversity, also protecting their rights. This done as you have recognised that the client becomes distressed in busy places, 2. You are protecting their rights by not refusing their outing, alot of the time support workers will not offer an alternative to the client 3. you are protecting them from abuse and neglect as taking them somewhere that will cause distress, ie busy noisy pub, can cause fear harm distress to this client.4. You are empowering the client to make their own choice as to another venue, ie suggesting other places that you can both go. This statement covers the ethos of N.V.Q's. Any other problems email me. x
