ok, a month ago i fractured the tamporal bone on both sides of my head. blood was pooring out of my ears and i was rushed to the hospital. now im fine and everything about seems the same except for the fact that int he past three weeks i have seemed to basically lost my smell. i can smell rubbing achohal but thats about it. i can still taste. i haven't told my mom and i dont plan to cuz then she will freak and i already freaked her out enought with this head injury. WHAT DO I DO????????????! will i get my smell back when my head is totally healed?

Maybe when the head injury happend your olfactory nerve that suppy our sense of smell got affected. You can smell the scent of the alcohol because it has very strong odor. You should consult your doctor about this. I can understand that you dont want for your mom to worry more but its better to discuss thic matter now before the case worsen.
