I tried Ambien and from my perspective it seems to work great, then I wake up and hear I acted strangely?
I guess I have 2 different questions:
Lets say I take an Ambien at 9pm, and I remember up until 9:30pm. My wife will tell me that I was up until 11pm or later walking around and acting in a weird way. I know that Ambien is a hypnotic drug, but is this normal to act this way?
Also, what would an alternative to Ambien be? Falling asleep, not staying asleep is my main problem. Tried trazadone, lunesta, and roserem, no success.
I would def. stop taking the Ambien NOW!!! You could maybe try an OTC drug until you can get to your Dr. again. You may want to try a small dose of Ativan or Xanax to take that edge of from trying to fall asleep (ask your Dr. about these). Also, be careful of drinking any caffeine later in the day, that may also be what's making the getting to sleep part that much more difficult. Hopes this helps!
