I have ALOT of white hair and I'm only 23 yrs old.. What causes this??

I've always had a few strands ever since I was 4 years old, but yesterday I counted about 50-60 strands of white hair... I dont mind it but I'm wondering why at such a young age?? by 40 I'll have a full set lol!
