Can a docter detect a pain killer overdose from a simple blood test?!

Question:

Can a docter detect a pain killer overdose from a simple blood test?

i have recently overdosed on over the counter ibuprofen, prescription ibuprofen, and something called naproxen sodium? and now i have to go to the docter (not for the overdose) but they will be taking my blood, and i dont know if they can see what i've done just from that test.

Answers:

I don't know what blood tests will be ordered but most likely a CBC will be one of them. Your doctor will not know to test for blood levels of any drug unless you tell her/him. Be aware that ibuprofen can cause abnormalities in the blood and these may show up. This could put your doctor on the wong track. Don't waste the doctor's time - be honest and forthcoming. Tell your doctor what you did.
