I get a headache after i sing, am i doing it wrong?!
Question:
I get a headache after i sing, am i doing it wrong?
Answers:
You may be dehydrated; drink more water.
You may not be warming up properly...do at least 10 minutes of soft humming or gentle singing to warm up your vocal cords before you begin to sing for any duration of time.
You may not be breathing properly. Your shoulders should not move when you sing, and your stomach area (diaphram) should get larger when you breath in.
Also, last but not least; is this during choir?
That headache may be a lead-up to fainting.
Remember to bend those knees! locking them up will cut off blood flow to your head, giving you a headache and causing you to eventually faint!
