Does anyone know of a home remedy or OTC med that helps with nausea?!

Question:

Does anyone know of a home remedy or OTC med that helps with nausea?

Ok listen it is a simple viral infection. I dont need to take my kids to the dr for a viral to be sent home. I am simply looking for some temporary relief for my children and myself. I have been cleaning kid puke all day and I dont think I have a clean towel in the house. Moms who feel me, I am desperate and your suggestions would be appreciated. My kids range in ages 2-8 and I have been through this many times. The stores used to sell a med called Little Tummy's anti-nausea and it had ginger root in it but I couldnt find it tonight so I bought some pedialyte and now I just want some relief... Thanks for all suggestions... please dont say go to the DR!!!!!

Answers:

Walgreen's carries an anti nausea liquid (it is a store brand) that they keep by the antacids. I know this could be miserable but you are on the right track with the pedialyte. Ginger ale is good as well. Now, if you cannot get to Walgreen's, then try cola syrup that is also sold in pharmacies. It is also used for anti nausea treatment. I hope your little ones feel better but (I know you said not to say this) if this goes on over 24 hours, get a call in to the pediatrician for some advice.
