Does anyone know of anything that can help with excess sweating?

For the past year or so, I have had a massive sweat problem- all my tops have sweat stains, and I can't remember the last time I wore just a t-shirt, because I always have to put a jumper on top to cover up the wet patches. I just found out that it's actually a medical condition called hyperhidrosis, but before I go out and spend a load of money on extra strength anti-perspirants (nomal ones do nothing), I was wondering if anyone knew of anything that worked for them?

I'm 18, so its not menopause, I eat a reasonable diet with hardly any salt so it's not that either.
