Weird sickness?!

Weird sickness?
I've been having this sicknesss for nearly 3 MONTHS.
At the first month, the cough was really bad and I had to see a doctor. The medicines didn't work well on me and I still cough alot. After the first month, my cough was still here but I hardly cough. Like maybe, 1 or 2 or maybe even 0 serious coughs (means coughing non stop for about 30 seconds and sometimes feel like suffocating)
Went for an x-ray on my lungs to check for infections but nothing was found, the doctor said it might be just a common flu.
What sickness do I have??
(Btw, I have yellow phlegm and the phlegm is thready and sticky)

Bronchitis most likey and yes it can turn serious.Check what you do like sprays you use,candles you burn,allergents in carpets,carpet powders,or flea products you use.Do you smoke?Change all these things air your house good check air conditioner filters also see if you get releif,if not not back to Dr.but all he will do untill it gets serious is give you antibotic,sometimes helps sometimes not.Good luck.
