The 'answers' on this page amaze me. All knee jerk reactions, secondhand knowledge and plain ignorance.
1. Heroin makes yuou feel good.
2. The withdrawals are a bit like a dose of the flu.
Lastly, it doesn't wreck your life. If it did then it wouldn't have any valid medical use - in fact diamorphine is used daily in our hospitals. The 'wrecked lives' are primarily caused by the fact that street use is illegal, and street heroin is therefore contaminated. It's also about 500% more expensive than it should be. This drives money into the hands of criminals and forces addicts to steal.
Legalize it and all those problems go away.
