My ankle injury has led to my foot being swolen. Whats going on?!

My ankle injury has led to my foot being swolen. Whats going on?

Well i hurt my ankle about a week ago and i went to the doctors where they gave me a boot. Now a week later my lower leg and my foot are starting to get swollen. My ankle starts hurting any time i keep it elevated then put it down. So whats going on?

well i would go back to the docs to make sure its nothing major like a blood clot or something being pinched.put some ice on the area?depends on your injury too.try not to put any pressure or twisting on the area the boot could be on too tight?im not sure but i would def check with the doc
