Cigarettes: Inhale into mouth or inhale into lungs?!

Question:

Cigarettes: Inhale into mouth or inhale into lungs?

Today, while I was smoking a cigarette, I think I inhaled it into my lungs for the first time. Basically, I inhaled it like I usually do, except instead of exhaling right away like I normally do, I inhaled it again deeper and it went straight to my lungs and I started coughing. Now, I was completely oblivious to this before. I didn't know there was a different between inhaling into mouth and lungs. I thought that's just the way everyone smoked. So I'm thinking inhaling it into my lungs is way worse than just inhaling it into my mouth and then exhaling. But just inhaling it into my mouth is still bad for my lungs, right? So is inhaling it into my lungs much worse for me than just the mouth or does it not make a difference?

lol, WOW, I can't believe how many people go straight to tell me how to quit. Did I ask how to quit? Did I say I want to quit? No, no I did not. But thanks for coming onto a page with a question asking about cigarette smoking, just to come with an answer which I did not ask for. Brilliant.

And to the person who mentioned my age; I am 16 years old, so I'm sure you'll be happy to find out that I'm not a middle-aged dumbass who's been smoking for 20 years.

I've been smoking since I was 12, on-and-off. I don't do it to be "cool". I don't do it around any other people, so that covers that. I quite like the taste of it, so I suppose not inhaling into my lungs isn't too much of a waste, and aparently (from what I've gathered from most of the answers) not as bad for me as deliberately inhaling into my lungs.

Anyway, thanks everyone! I guess inhaling into my lungs didn't feel so bad, but yeah. I just like the feeling with/without it.
