Why are you not supposed to land on your knees on a trampoliene?!
Question:
Why are you not supposed to land on your knees on a trampoliene?
I have hurt the centre of my sternum before, but I still don't really know what happened!
Answers:
In order to maintain your balance on your knees, you must arch your back. Try it on the floor. Don't use your feet for balance, because you wont on the trampoline either.
In a folded position, your legs cannot cushion the shock of landing, which will be several times your body weight. That's a lot of pressure on your knee joints.
That shock is then transmitted up your body, straining your hips, back, neck, abdomen - and hurting your sternum, apparently.
