I have been feeling dizzy and unsteady for the past couple of days. What could b!

Question:

I have been feeling dizzy and unsteady for the past couple of days. What could be wrong with me?

I bumped my head against a wall a few days ago, could it have something to with that?

I have been eating regular meals and drinking plenty of water so I don't think it could have anything to do with a drop in my sugar levels.

Having said that, my mother, three uncles and my aunt are all diabetic and I know that diabetes is hereditary.

I really don't want to go to my doctor because if there is something seriously wrong with me, I would prefer not to know.

Thank you

Answers:

Sounds like either concussion or blood pressure.

Human beings quite often get dizzy spells because walking upright can restrict the flow of blood to the brain. In fact most people will have blackouts once or twice during their lives. So it could just be because you are human.

On the other hand... if you got concussion from bumping your head, it can show through after a day or two in dizzy spells or blackouts. But if you are scared that this is the answer, then honestly, it is treatable, so you should be more scared of carrying on without knowing.
