What do I do as a volunteer in the Physical Therapy Unit?
I'm currently a volunteer at a hospital, and I started today. The woman who coordinates the rotations just put me on everything for a week just so i can choose which one I'd like to do for the whole summer. Today- I did ECU (Extended Care Unit) and Menus...and
Wednesday I'll be volunteering in the Physical Therapy/Rehab Therapy unit, and i was wondering what exactly I'll be doing there as a volunteer?
Answers:
It really depends on the facility. In most cases, you will be filing, answering phones, etc. You may need to stock linens or clean the gym. Occasionally, a therapist may be able to use your help, such as following someone with a wheelchair while they walk, etc.
