I want a nose job.. can someone please listen and help me?

I just want someone to help me out... I need information.

I'm 17 years old (almost 18). I really have always wanted a nose job, since I was a kid. It's the one thing about me I cannot stand. and it truly is bringing my self-confidence down, it has made me depressed. It's not what others think, because other people tell me I'm beautiful/very pretty, but FOR ME, I want one. I only take my own opinion into consideration, and I think without personal happiness I cannot move forward.

I have a nose similar to that but wider... much wider, but I think it's easy to work with. I don't want my family or friends knowing about it (yeah yeah I know), I eventually want to get it done. I make about 6 or 7 thou dollars a year, where can I get it done, and when do you suggest this? I really want to get it done on my own. I feel with this, I would be so much happier and I could live.

By the way, I live in Ottawa (Canada) but I would rather get it somewhere away so that I could sort of vacation/be away while recovering... I know that'd be expensive but I really seriously don't want anyone knowing about it, because I know people would constantly say OH YOU GOT IT FIXED?!... I think if I got it on my own, people wouldn't notice as much and it would just have been me 'growing into it'... I hear they have 'vacation nose jobs' in India and Brazil. Can anyone give links or info?

By the way - I know it's the only thing i'd get 'done'.. I think besides my nose I am beautiful, I have 'exotic' eyes and lips, it's just my nose.

PS - i dont wanna hear 'accept yourself'... because honestly, I've broken my nose so many times that it's no longer 'me'... it's a result of it being broken so many times and I don't see anything wrong with me getting this one thing reduced.

Well, it's going to be VERY expensive.

For some numbers, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery lists an average surgeon's fee of $3,751 for rhinoplasty in 2002.

The surgeon's fee does not include the cost of the operating facility, such as a surgical center or hospital, nor does it include the cost of anesthesia or any medications you might be required to purchase. This can add up to several thousand dollars.

Then, if you want to travel, you're talking another thousand for flights (even more if you want to go farther). And, if you want to vacation while you're recovering, it's going to be at least 2 weeks in a hotel, at lets say $150 a night is another $2100.

So, overall cost will be probably around $12000...maybe more.

If it's something you really want to do, start saving and go ahead and do it.

Just remember, choose a surgeon based on skills, reputation, experience and training and not just on the lowest cost. If you're going international, make sure the person has had the propper education, training, and experience! You wouldn't want things to go wrong, then you'll really hate your nose.
