I've had a cough since november???

Went to the doctors a few times and she told me it was just a cough, (I have asthma) but it has since turned into an infection, I try to hold the cough back but I cant, then I cant breathe chest tightens, feels like i'm gonna break my ribs, use my inhaler so much but not working because when I use it I just cough it out. I'm now getting pain in my sides at the bottom of my ribcage, Doctor prescribed Cefalexin but if anything its got worse. This is driving me mad. im seriously verging on tears what can I do??

The doctor told me to take my brown preventor pump which has steriods in it, but it makes me physically throw up. I told the doctor this but she said I still have to take it while I have an infection, which surely is pointless if i'm going to to just throw it up.
I seriously hate her......

I personally think you seriously need to visit the hospital. They should take the situation a bit more seriously and be able to treat you somehow. If not, try another doctor.
