do IVs at hospital hurt what in what is breathing tube? is laughing gas helpful and will it make u tired will ansastras help make surgey eassser and what is a ng tube does that help u breathe and our oxyegen mask good for u

Answers:

IVs are inconvenient, but don't hurt; just a stick when putting them in.

Breathing tube is a tube put down your throat going into your LUNGS, most often in surgery, so a machine can breathe for you. The breathing tube helps you breathe.

NG tube goes into your STOMACH to feed you (if you can't chew) or to empty your stomach out. Doesn't help you breathe.

Oxygen mask is good for you and is often used after a breathing tube is 'pulled' until you breathe well on your own; or sometimes an oxygen mask is used without a breathing tube.

You going to have surgery and words, but no explanation given you?

Don't know what 'ansastras' are unless you you refer to anesthesia. Anesthesia is when they give you medication to prevent you from being awake during surgery. The medication relaxes you and in so doing, relaxes the muscles you use for breathing; that's why you need the breathing tube; since you won't remember to breathe, the machine will breathe for you.
