Is it medically possible to have never farted?

I've met someone who says that they have never in their entire life had gas. Is this possible?

I love your answers. It's true, how do they know they don't do it in their sleep. A friend confirmed that he doesn't & even mentioned that his mom says that she's never heard him do it. I say impossible!!
