Dr will not return calls regarding test results?
A coworker of mine fell and badly injured her knee. She had an MRI 10 days ago, yet her doctor will still not get on the phone to discuss her results. Her knee is badly brusied, very sore, and she is unable to walk on it. She has called the office several times, and is always told he will call her - and never does. Today, a nurse feeling badly about the situation, faxed her the MRI results, with no notes or anything. She cannot make sense of what was given to her, as its directed at a doctor, or at least someone with a medical background. What recourse can she take? This seems beyond unprofessional.
Any help would be appreciated.

First, take the MRI results to another qualified physician. She definately needs to know what is going on with her knee ASAP. Then she should at very least contact the Better Business Bureau, or her local "Problem Solver" news team about him, if not an attorney.
