What is the safest way to rid of fleas?!
Question:
What is the safest way to rid of fleas?
for example like ants would avoid cinnamon, mosquitoes do not like lemon grass, etc. i live in a small apartment with children. chemical fogging might pose questionable health hazard effects.
Answers:
One time I walked around the house wearing high white socks. When the flea jumped on my ankle I picked up the flea with my wet my thumb and index fingers, rolled it between my fingers till it was dizzy... then put it on a hard surface and snapped it with the back of my fingernail. It was easy and really worked.
Another time I put a low bowl of hot water on the floor. The fleas were attracted to the heat, jumped in and drowned themselves. Then I flushed them away.
It would also help to know if you have pets or rugs.
