Breast implant question. Difference between smooth or textured?!
Question:
Breast implant question. Difference between smooth or textured?
I am going to my conceltation in 2 weeks to get my girls done. I've been reading up on as much as I can but still haven't found any information on what the difference is between a smooth implant or a textured. How do they differ? What are the pros/cons of them? Why would it matter? ANy info I can get on this will help. I just like to know what I'm in for before the appointment so I can be ready with questions. Thanks!
Answers:
If I remember correctly, the textured ones are made that way to attach the implant to the surrounding tissue more securely. That way, the implant doesn't slide around or rotate in its cavity.
The downside is that if it ever needs to be removed, it will be more difficult.
